Steve Davey has launched a range of bespoke photo tours with land arrangements provided by Intrepid Travel. These tours will allow you to improve you travel photography whilst exploring some of the most fascinating countries in the world. The tours will be escorted by Steve Davey, who will teach you about all aspects of travel photography, from techniques such as exposure and shooting RAW through to practical hints for shooting portraits and landscapes. Steve has designed these tours, so that you will get the most photographic opportunities, and see as many things as possible in the very best light. These tours all visit place that Steve is familiar with, allowing you to benefit from his years of experience on the road and get an insight as to what it takes to be a professional travel photographer. Better Travel Photography range of Photography Tours The key for these trips is coming up with unique and stimulating travel photography experiences, so the itineraries and destinations will regularly change. We will soon be launching new trips to South East Asia for 2011. At the moment we have two eclectic tours to contrasting regions of India: magical mountainous Ladakh in the far North and lush, tropical Kerala in the deep South. Impressions of Ladakh

A unique opportunity to improve your travel photography, whilst exploring the highlights of the Ladakh in the company of a professional travel photographer. This travel photo tour starts in Delhi, before flying up to Leh the capital of Ladakh. We will visit an eclectic mix of fertile valleys, mountains and ancient monasteries, including those at Hemis and Lamayuru. Our visit is timed to see Cham Dancing at the Thak Tok monastery's annual religious festival, where we will stay for two days to soak up the atmosphere. We will then drive the amazing Leh-Manali Highway, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, until we reach Dharamsala - the seat of the exiled Dalai Lama. Kerala is a magical place with a unique atmosphere in India. It is more relaxed than the North, with it’s own temple architecture and even style of food. This travel photo tour is a fantastic opportunity to explore this lush, tropical region and learn more about travel photography than you ever imagined. We visit some of the most evocative places in Kerala, including the town of Cochin and the Periyar Wildlife Park. We will sail the famed backwaters of Kerala, and cross into Tamil Nadu to photograph the stunning Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai, with it's soaring gopuram towers, bedecked with colourful religious icons. This tour also visits one of the famous temple festivals where dozens of caparisoned elephants are paraded around a temple in front of crowds of fervant pilgrims, and costumed Kathakali dancers enact religious tales.
